It's raining today, and raining and raining. I've finished another scarf, well, that is I've finished another gift for the Christmas get together with the girls. It turned out quite well actually. I simply cast on lengthwise a lot of stitches with a combination of yarns of a cotton/poly blend and a kid mohair/wool blend. I worked about 7 rows, bound off and added tassels to the ends. It's quite long and will look great with a coat or simply worn around the neck as a sort of tie. I think I will give this one to Lynda. Only problem I have now, is who will I give the red Ocean Currents scarf to. So far I have socks for Helen, Jean, and Kristen with a neck tube scarf for Teri (so she'll be warm on her motorcycle), subway mitts for Kelly and a rolled edge hat for Chrissy. Well, now that I have this written out, I see who is receiving the scarf...Jane! Well, that worked out nicely. Now just to get them wrapped. And again, we have to adjust our dinner plans. It seems Pearl Street is going to be closed for the rest of the year. We are just trying to find a place to meet and have a nice dinner together that won't be too crowded, I'll have to check with Kelly, she'll know of a place conveniently located downtown.
I finally feel like I'm getting something done! The gifts are made and assigned to everyone, just find the restaurant and get the reservations made. Also, project for next week, finish the rest of the Christmas gifts. An iPod each for Eric and Tab and a dutch oven for Kelly. Then just to find something fun for the girls and get everything sent in time to arrive before Christmas! I should be able to accomplish my goal, after all, I did get my cards out early this year!
~Well, off I go to find a restaurant...
