And still I'm not finished with my Christmas shopping! I have, however, completed the gifts for the co-workers and it looks like the party will be at the local pizza place. Now to get the reservations completed. Kristen's gift was given to her early as she won't be able to join us. This has truly been a challenge.
So, what's on my needles today? Well, I've spent the last couple of days searching for Kusie's hat pattern, finally this morning I found it! I have some beautiful Debbie Bliss merino in a dark cornsilk color; it's beautifully soft and will show the picot edging to it's best feature. It also works up quick so in the event I need another gift, I have one. Hmmm, that gets me thinking, I could make a few with some of the leftover alpaca and other Debbie Bliss merino that I've used recently. I think I will do that. This will give me quick projects to carry with me to work and extra gifts at the same time...maybe I should give one to my secret Santa recipient! Great idea, I will do that.
I have a gorgeous grape color from KnitPicks for socks. It is the Gloss, silk merino blend. I love this fiber. I have made several pair of socks in Gloss and just love the hand of the fiber, the softness, the stitch clarity can't be beat. It's just perfect! I am going to make Tab a pair of socks with this color. I know she will love them.
I am continuing my search for the perfect little bolero for Kelly which I want to get started right away. I believe she wants it in black to go with her cute little black dress. And since we have been going to the theatre lately, I think I will add some shimmer to it to dress it up for evening wear.
~Well, it's that time again! Off to work I go...
