Closer to Christmas...

Another day, another day closer to Christmas. Crissy's hat is finished and Tab has received her gloves, hooray! Now to finish Kelly's mitts. Hmm, so what happened with the FairIsle, and the socks and the multidirectional, and, and, and, etc...I know, I was thinking of that yesterday. It's definitely time to get back on track. Right now though, I am still trying to coordinate the Christmas party for my friends at work. I just about have all my gifts made and it looks like we'll have to reschedule again...hee hee
Oh well, no matter. I guess that's really part of the fun of it.

So back to business. As far as the other items I am wanting to try out, specifically the FairIsle, I do have the yarns for a simple headband and I think that's where I am going to start. Of course what I really want to do is start a sweater! Nothing like starting at the top! But reality tells me I'd better start with something less involved to get my feet wet first and then move on to more advanced projects.

I really like the multidirectional idea too. I now have all Iris Schrier's books. There are so many things I'd like to try! I have taken to starting a couple of projects at one time. One which I can take to work and the other, more involved, project stays at home to work on. I keep telling myself it's okay to have several projects going at once. I'm pretty hard to convince sometimes though...hee hee

So today is finally my Friday...hip, hip, hooray! I am looking forward to 5:00! I'm not bringing anything to work on today as when I get off the bus, I think we're going for a walk and I don't want to have to haul anything around with me. With that said, I am now off to work and will return again later...
