A New Day...

Well, with Thanksgiving over and another holiday about to begin, I am still trying to finish my gifts. I did purchase a new iPod and that is really instrumental in my knitting! I find that all I need to do is pop in the headphones and begin. I have an audio book set up, my needles are ready and away I go! i can sit for, literally, hours and knit when I have a good book to listen to.

So,I am currently working on a pair of Subway Mittens for Kelly from Interweave Knits . I did finish a pair of fingerless gloves for Tab and, as usual, forgot to snap a picture of them before shipping them off. I will try to remember to get a pic of Kelly's mittens before I give them to her.

I have made socks and socks for friends and family. I also recently finished a scarf from Ocean Breezes made from Classic Elite yarns, Classic Silk. The drape is lovely and the color couldn't be more beautiful (yes, pictures to follow shortly!) My next project I'm considering a cute little cropped jacket. I'm not sure of the yarn yet, there are so many types I want to try. I also want to make another pair of socks for Larry. He is getting a lot of good use out of the first two pair I've made and is wanting additional pairs! Hooray! (Right, like I need a reason to knit!) hee, hee

Also a vest is on the horizon. This one I think I will do in a nice Alpaca blend or other warm and cozy fiber. Right now, though, the thought is for an Alpaca blend. And even though I'm not the most decorative person, I have been thinking along the lines of pillows. I'm sure someone will want one and I have a couple of ideas floating in my head about them. We'll see, they're just floating for now.

At any rate, it's off to work this morning. Today is my Thursday and I am anxious for my next days off. A trip into town and pick up my favorite bagels at the local bagelry, some nice chai tea and I am ready for another weekend of knitting.

~Now, just to remember to get those pictures taken...
