It seems that I've been too busy to communicate lately! I have finished the socks and started another pair. In fact, the first pair which is made of Berocco's Ultra Alpaca, turned out so well, we even threw them into the laundry and felted them! I would recommend that to anyone, the felting turned out very well. The next pair, also of the same wool, will be felted as well.
The doggy sweater turned out so cute, I am anxious to make another (even though I don't have a dog!), someone's doggy will surely need a sweater.
The first scarf is also underway from the Ocean Breezes book. I am making it of Classic Elite's Classic Silk, it is very nice to work with and the drape is beautiful.
I received my Ravelry invite, my screen name is Seatulips and I have connected this blog there. I checked around the site, which I found to be incredible and a bit overwhelming and maybe even intimidating; there is so much to see, so much talent, so much beautiful ideas!
Now with the holidays upon us, the task of coordinating the Christmas party with my coworkers is getting a little more challenging. I had no idea that it would be so crazy trying to get 8 people together at the same time, in the same place! It's going to be a lot of fun though. We are looking forward to having some time away from work to just socialize! Some are knitters, some are not. Who knows, maybe us knitters can help encourage the non-knitters to learn.
Well, as with everyday, I am off to work. The socks are going with me and hopefully I will have the first one finished today so by the time I get home I can start the next!
~Happy day!
