Oh October!

I love October! The colors, the colors, the colors...need I say more?! I will post pics of Eugene's version of fall, later. I have been working on my Estes vest. Hmmm, it's heavy. The cabling is gorgeous as is the color I've chosen. But, it's heavy. Or, more to the point, it's weighty. At this point in the venture I'm actually considering frogging it and starting with a lighter weight fiber. Here in Eugene we don't get that cold and this very heavy vest may be just too much. I'm thinking Alpaca rather than the bulky weight Lamb's Pride I'm currently using; the gauge though is the worry. I'll figure it out. I just don't like heavy clothing.

I've just finished my knitted item for the Ravelry Treasure swap. I've made it in fall colors, it's really pretty. I hope she likes it. Pics of that to come later after I've sent it!

The tomatoes are still growing. I have so many on the vine and am blessed daily with ripe fruit. The weather has been temperate enough so the flowers and tomatoes continue to do very well. There really is nothing like fresh veggies, daily!

This weekend is supposed to be nice. I think I will go out with my camera and capture the beauty of Eugene. The leaves are so pretty. There are trees out there that look almost etherial and the leaves transparent. I love all the reds, oranges and yellows of fall.

Tab's birthday is Thursday, the big 33! Where have the years gone? Ah well, what are you going to do?

Go out and enjoy the weather, that's what!

~Hmmm, I think I'll go out for a bike ride...
