I've come up with yet another plan. For a while now I have been reading about hand-dyed, hand-spun yarns. So I think I'm ready to take the plunge. I have ordered the requisite "Bare" from Knitpicks and asked some questions in the Ravelry groups online for helpful instruction. I've also come across a member who makes her own drop spindles, which is exactly what I want to learn on. I think the next logical step would be to check with my favorite LYS, Soft Horizons, for any upcoming classes on spinning. This should be fun! I'm anxious to start! My goal is to hand dye using natural, organic materials and I would like to grow my own dye products. I'm in search of the best book to help me with this area as well. Ravelry members are incredible in that there is always someone who has or knows where to find the perfect answer.
