So today as I was sitting quietly knitting, I just happened to be looking out the window at my little contatiner garden. I'm excited that my lettuce has finally decided give growing a try, when low and behold there's a silly little squirrel in the container! I just can't believe the nerve of that little bugger and proceeded to run him out of there. He ran off immediately into the tree where he sat and watched me closely. Yes, we did discuss the fact that, no, he did not have anything buried there and that he needed to stay out of my garden! Of all the nerve! Really, I just had to laugh. I've been trying to get that poor lettuce to sprout and when it finally decides to, the squirrels think it's just for them!
Well, back to thoughts of wool. I have the spindles, I have the roving and the video online for instructions. But, before I begin, I want to try dyeing the wool. So, I'm thinking of trying the Kool-Aid experiment first. Now what color should I create? I'd really like a bright salmon color or maybe mix that with some pink and green. I love that combination of colors. Okay then, the salmon, pink and green it is!
~Off to find the right Kool-Aid, and shoo away the squirrels and now a blue jay...
