Another chilly day...

Another chilly day, I can't believe this weather. It will get better though. So tomorrow is my friday and I have a full day of projects set up for my "Saturday". I ordered a couple of the Summer Samplers from Knit Picks, I'm anxious to try out some of the included patterns. although there really isn't anything in the patterns that I would have purchased on my own, I'll still make something to give as a gift. I'm also anxious to try my hand at dying yarn so I also ordered some Bare silk merino sock. Only a couple of skeins and see how this goes and then if all goes well, which I'm sure it will, I will venture out and try more.
Larry's latest pair of alpaca socks turned out well, and felted beautifully. Now I have to find another red to start another pair for him. I doubled the yarn at the heel and added a reinforcement thread, this should help add a little strength and hopefully he won't wear them out as fast. Of course this time we will not machine wash them, only hand wash!
