Today I purchased a pedometer. In my efforts to get healthy I have joined a walking group and signed up to train with the team at work for the Eugene Marathon in May. The pedometer has everything I am looking for, except...a good battery (at least that seems to be the problem) so rather than getting started with entering all the fun info, I have to get a new battery or take the silly thing back for an exchange! Argh!!! No matter, I think I will work on my socks for a while . It's raining out right now and is getting darker; it's probably going to down pour and I don't want to be out in it.
My socks are coming along nicely, I love the color. I am going into Soft Horizons this week to pick up some Noro sock yarn and another set of needles so I can make the second sock at the same time as the first. I'm going to try this out and see if it really does go faster! In the meantime here is progress on the socks in Concord Grape color, KnitPicks Gloss. The pattern is from Vogue Knitting Ultimate Sock book, I did change the cuff and used the cuff pattern from Favorite Socks 25 Timeless Designs from Interweave, Waving Lace.
~And so the downpour has begun...
